Our trainings are an integration of Denise Findlay's own life experience and years of working in the field of coaching and facilitatation and supporting people. Meeting Facilitation
Effective meetings depend on our ability to engage in constructive dialogue and navigate conflict. Irrespective of a well thought out agenda our meetings can and do get “high-jacked” by emotions and power struggles. A skilled facilitator is able to create and maintain an atmosphere that encourages the group to transcend the usual cycle of conflict and unproductive behaviors while holding the “big” agenda for the organization or community. The Kweykway approach creates safety and trust, which naturally encourages a greater level of willingness and participation and ultimately leads to increased understanding, communication and effectiveness.
We specialize at facilitating meetings for groups of 2 – 100 people or more.
Teams today are comprised of diverse groups of people of all ages. In the First Nations community we have many walks of life working and living together. More often then not people are experiencing high levels of conflict due to contrasting values systems. Research shows that high levels of positivity amongst team members directly effect not only productivity but our health too. It is possible to work together effectively regardless of how different we are. So, how do we create greater levels of understanding and build the capacity to improve and maintain the health of the team? Teams have an emotional life that needs regular tending to in order to be sustainable. Kweykway, specializes in working with the unique dynamics existent in teams comprised of First Nations and Non-First Nations people and are able to create effective working relationships characterized by understanding, open communication and trust. Our approach creates cultural safety and understanding amongst those with contrasting worldviews.

Conflict is a natural and perpetual part of being in relationship. At KweyKway we believe conflict has the potential to lead us to creative solutions that we would not otherwise be able to access. Conflict is a signal that something is not working and needs to change. It’s simply a matter of having conflict more skillfully. We focus on building your capacity to handle conflict more effectively while minimizing the negative effects on the team or relationship. We use a gentle approach to create alignment amongst folks who are experiencing conflict, whether a partnership or a team.
